  • As it happens every year, one of the main events is held by Google and for developers and technology fans alike to get a taste of what is coming. For this year there are a bunch of expectations in terms of both software and hardware that may come to life.

Google I/O 2013 will be held in the Moscone Center in San Francisco. It is going to take place in May 15-17th and the registrations are already closed and tickets sold out. Part of the motive is that Google has made a habit to give away for free its new products to every attendee at the event. The other part is that the announcements that Google usually makes are of the highest importance, going through new versions of Android, Chrome, apps and other Google products.

For this year it has been rumored that we are going to see a new version of Android – 5.0 Key Lime Pie. The new OS will bring with it even greater speed, new features and a more polished interface. Google Glass is another praised Google product that is likely to take the stage, while last year developers were given the opportunity to purchase such a device for the sum of $1000. Another product that is likely to be brought to life is the Nexus Q. The media streaming device that was launched during the past Google I/O event has had one of the shortest lifes in recent history, though it may not be forgotten.

In terms of hardware Google may yet announce another tablet. The new device is likely to go on the same line as the Nexus 7, though offering better specs and a bunch of new features. There is also talk of a Home Automation system going to provide the control ability to Android smartphones and tablets. Google Now is also likely to get new improvements to bring it to an even more advanced level, till it becomes the assistant you can really depend upon for everyday tasks. Whatever get announced you can be sure we will let you now in the shortest time possible.
