Zombie HQ Review: Fun Little Twin Stick Shooter (Video)

Since I got to play with the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 10.1 tablet, I also decided to test a game on it. Said game comes from Rebellion and it’s called Zombie HQ. It’s a free game that fits into the twin stick shooter genre.
The concept is classic: you shoot zombies, big or small, upgrade your weapons, try to stay alive and scavenge stuff. There’s a variety of tasks to perform, including rebuilding barriers, protecting survivors and fighting huge boss zombies. The weapons you will wield include shotguns, machine guns, regular guns and grenades, plus turrets and such.
The bad thing about the game is how repetitive it is and the blue energy bar. Each mission requires a certain amount of energy to perform and the more advanced missions require more. You can regenerate the energy over long minutes or… pay. We’ve got some solid auto aim and overall the game is fun, but as I said repetitive, since it’s all shoot, shoot and shoot.
The title gets a 7 out of 10 from us and it seems to run without lag on the device, unlike Dungeon Hunter 4. You can download it from here.
